Is it
wrong of me to want to scream at people and tell them that just because
someone "looks" normal, doesn't mean that they aren't different or have
a disability? It doesn't man that you can stand behind me whispering,
making comments or worse blatantly say something to me, and in front of
my child!
My Child is not "Stupid", he is not a "troublemaker", he does not just have "an attitude problem",
and ADHD is NOT just a case of "bad parenting", You think this all
because he learns or acts in such a different manner from other kids?
That's who my child is!!! If you don't like it, then you don't have to
associate with us because I don't care what you think, I love him more
than life itself with his differences!
They are not "different
from normal people" but a variation of "normal". They do things
differently and might act different but they are still children. ADD’ers
tend to be exceptionally bright, and are typically highly creative,
artistic and/or inventive.
I have been told that Educating
everyone is very hard, it will only tire you out, and it's not worth it
but even so, education is the best weapon I have to be able to hope that
my child will have the life he deserves and as he grows people will be
less ignorant towards him! He's an amazing and smart little boy and I
will do everything in my power to ensure that he gets what he can! I
just thank God that ignorance is not contagious!
